Teaching with Canvas
Instructure, the company that operates Canvas, recently experienced a cybersecurity incident. Canvas continues to operate normally and this was not a targeted attack on UT Austin. Some user data was exposed (names, email addresses, student IDs, and messages). No passwords, SSNs, dates of birth, or financial information were compromised. Be cautious of phishing emails referencing Canvas or UT IT. Access Canvas directly from this page and report suspicious activity to help@utexas.edu or 512-475-9400.
